Literary Connections and Romanian music in HUNGARY
The „Connections” Literary Society and the Municipal Cultural Center Orchestra „George Cosbuc” Bistrita, Transylvania, had made a „great show in Hungary.” The host City of Romanians was Kétegyháza (Chitighaz) Békés, Hungary, led by the Mayor Istvánné Kalcsó. Thus, Saturday, November 19, 2011, the Romanian society and orchestra invited the Hungarian public (mostly from Romanian origin) to an evening of literature and knowledge of Romanian folk music: „LITERARY CONNECTIONS and TRADITIONAL MUSIC”
The Guest of the event was P.S. Siluan, Bishop of the Orthodox Diocese in Hungary. The event held at the Cultural Center of Chitighaz Táncsics Mihály.
Sunday, 20 November 2011, at the Church of Kétegyháza (Chitighaz), the Bistrita delegation pleased the Christians presents at Mass by interpreting a Carols Concert.
The “Connections” Literary Society, represented by: Stefan Veşcari (poet) and Florin I. Bojor (philosopher, translator) presented the Connections poetry anthology (2010). Event Translation: Maria Herinean.
The Municipal Cultural Centre Orchestra was composed by: Cosmin Neaga (conductor, saxophone), Andrei Barşoni (organ), Sorin Joldeş (accordion), Dan Oniţă (clarinet), Dorel Sneaha (violin) and Ovidiu Bold (violin). Popular music artists: Petre Petruse and Mărioara Sigartău.
